The following Top Marks Information Sheet is designed to provide you with an overview of the ordering process.  


Immaculata High School invites you to attend the fitting sessions at the school (dates noted below), which will be conducted for all students BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.  The fitting sessions will provide you with the ability to have your child fitted and complete your order form.

School Bus Transportation Cancelled - Mon, April 8th

The Ottawa Student Transportation Authority has cancelled all buses and vans serving the OCSB today, Monday, April 8th, 2019. Schools remain open. If parents or guardians choose to send their children to school today, they are responsible for transportation to school as well as pick up at 2:30 pm. 

Literacy Test - Wednesday, March 27th, 2019

On Wednesday, March 27, all Grade 10 students will be writing the EQAO Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT), which is a graduation requirement, along with any Grade 11 or 12 student who has not yet completed it.

The literacy test starts promptly at 8:30am and will take at least the entire morning.

Accommodations and special provisions for students with IEPs and for English Language Learners have been arranged.

All students writing the OSSLT are invited to stop by the Achievement Centre prior to 8:15 am to pick up a breakfast sandwich.

Parent Information Evening: Tues, February 26th

Please join us for our Immaculata Parent Information Evening on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 from 6-7pm.

If you are a parent of a student coming for Grade 7 in September, the presentation begins at 6pm in the large gym.

If you are a parent of a student coming for Grades 9-12 in September, the presentation begins at 6pm in the upper cafeteria.

*Tours of our facilities are available for parents and students beginning at 5pm.

STUDENT SERVICES – Learn about course requirements for graduation; special education

programming; Grade 10 Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test; Compulsory 40 Hours of

Workplace levels of study as well as our Information and Communications Technology & Environmental SHSMs offered.

ACADEMIC SUPPORTS – Speak with our Student Success Teacher about the many different

supports available for students needing extra help with their studies.

COOPERATIVE EDUCATION – Hear first hand from students about their co-op experiences.

FRENCH LANGUAGE – Learn about opportunities for students through the Common European

Framework of Reference for Language (CEFRL) and the grade 12 DELF testing, as well as an

experiential learning trip to Europe for students.

INDIGENOUS EDUCATION – Hear about Immaculata’s efforts toward reconciliation and some of

our unique programming in Grade 11 English and Indigenous Studies classes.

CARING FOR OTHERS FOCUS PROGRAM – Dialogue with students about their unique experience in

this focus program and how community partnerships have inspired them.

AFTER SCHOOL MUSIC PROGRAM (BAND) – Hear about how students participate in our school’s

band and work toward extra credit after school.

COMPUTER PROGRAMMING & ENGINEERING – Learn about the opportunities our students have in programming & engineering classes including robotics, circuit building and a popular app development project with Corpus Christi Elementary School.

DREAM TEAM – Speak with students about their experience participating in our school’s service

trip to the Dominican Republic and the valuable learning this opportunity has brought them.

MARINE BIOLOGY TRIP – Come find out about the marine biology trip to the Huntsman Marine Science Centre in St. Andrew’s, New Brunswick.  This popular trip gives students an excellent hands-on experience at the Bay of Fundy.

Paul Davis Social Networking & Online Safety Parent Presentation - March 7, 2019

Immaculata School Council is pleased to present Paul Davis on March 7th, 2019. Paul Davis brings over 27 years of IT knowledge and expertise to his speaking engagements. He has presented to over 510,000 students in Grades 4-12 from Ontario, Alberta, Nova Scotia and Quebec to cities across the US - all in just over 6 years! Relating to kids as a father and to parents as an IT professional, all presentations are targeted so that each audience leaves with a wealth of knowledge and empowerment for their respective age level.

Paul Davis will give his Social Networking and Online Safety presentation to our students in Grades 7-11 on Thursday, March 7th during the day and to parents in the evening from 6:30-8:00 pm in our Learning Commons.

Literacy After School Sessions Begin Today!

In order to help our Grade 10 students develop their reading/writing skills and prepare for the OSSLT Literacy Test on March 27, 2019, we will be running free after school literacy sessions with one of our teachers, Mrs. Carroll. These sessions will be held every Tuesday and Thursday after school from 2:45 - 4:00 pm beginning today and running until March 21st. If you are in Grade 10 OR are writing the literacy test this year, drop by the main office to pick up a form if interested!
