Covid-19 Letter to Parents March 23, 2020

Dear Immaculata Families,

We hope that your family is healthy and doing well.  We are currently going through some challenging times and our priority is the safety and well-being of all our students and families.  We pray that this situation gets resolved as soon as possible.

Here are some community resources that you can access since the school is closed until April 5th.  We will provide you with more information as we are updated on the situation.  We have had inquiries about students and parents accessing the school to retrieve items -- unfortunately the school is closed until further notice for safety reasons.

Teachers are currently working on creative ways to connect with their students and they will also be connecting with parents to ensure that your son/daughter is properly supported in their education.  Please note that teachers are mainly concerned about the personal well-being of their students and are attempting to provide some Distance Learning opportunities. We encourage students to continue to work on their academics but this work is not mandatory as we understand that some families are going through some difficult times.

The Ministry of Education has provided some online learning opportunities but our Immaculata staff prefer connecting directly with their students.  Here is the letter that was sent to you by the Minister if you did not receive it.

The priority is to look after yourselves and your families.   Please take this opportunity to spend quality time together as a family, go for a walk, perform some daily exercise and pray that all our families will be healthy and safe.

We are all looking forward to having a safe return to school.

Take care,

Sean Power

Principal
