Dear Immaculata Families,

We will try to update you with information as much as possible.  The priority is the healthy well-being for all of our families. The Ministry has indicated that schools will not be reopened on April 6th and we do not have an opening date at this time.

Updates are available at Ottawa Public Health.  Here are some community resources available to families in need.  Families that require financial support can access it through the Federal Income Supplement or the Provincial Emergency Response.  Here is information on the Ottawa Food Bank.  Donations can be made on-line to help families in need.

Teachers have been communicating with your son/daughter with regards to their well-being and have provided them with some school work.  The school work that is provided is not mandatory and is used to support students in their studies during the school closure. We have received a range of messages from parents asking for more school work to not wanting any work at all.  We understand that every family situation is unique and we will try to assist in the way that is best for your family situation.

Please have your son/daughter check their student email accounts as teachers are concerned about their students and would like to receive feedback.  Teachers will also attempt to email parents if they have not connected with your son/daughter to make sure that they are aware of the distant learning opportunities.

The school is still working on a plan to determine how we can safely enter the school to retrieve important items and how to properly disperse required technological devices.  The schools are still completely closed until further notice.

We appreciate your patience during these unprecedented times and we will be doing our best to meet the learning needs of all our students.  We pray that all our families are healthy and safe.

Take care,

Sean Power

Principal
